There are 2250 species of flowers belonging to 75 genera in the Family Ericaceae, over  850 species  in the  Genus  Rhododendron  all  over  the world. Apart from Xinjiang  and  Ningxia  Autonomous  Regions,  one  can  find  natural  growth  of Rhododendron all over China, with a total of over 460 species, taking up 54% of the world's total.  Most species of Rhododendron grow in high mountains with an elevation of several thousand  meters, only a few species grow in low hills.
Rhododendron has species of evergreen big tree, small tree, evergreen shrub and deciduous shrub. It is ornamental with its beautiful flowers, leaves and shape.
