Pan Tianshou  (1897-1971),  also called Dayi,  A'shou,  a native of Ninghai, Zhejiang Province, is China's well noted painter & art educator. He is adept at freehand brushwork  in  traditional Chinese paintings of  flower,  bird and landscape.  He is also good at finger-painting as well as calligraphy and seal carving. He has had a profound study of painting history and theory and had many  books  published.  He has created  his own  imposing,  vigorous, and expereinced  style  after  learning  many  former artists points. With his great achievement in inheriting & renovating the traditional Chinese paintings, Pan has thus made great contributions to the national paintings.  He is one of  the four great  Chinese painting masters  together with  Wu Changshuo,  Huang Binhong and Qi Baishi.
